Reading the chart

Stars are sized by magnitude and tinted by spectral class.
Constellation lines join the stars of each IAU figure; names sit at the figure's centre.
Deep-sky symbols follow the usual convention: ellipses for galaxies, circles for clusters, squares for nebulae, diamonds for remnants.
The faint band across the chart is the galactic plane.

Catalogues are compiled into this repository at build time. Sources and licences are listed on the notices page.
